How to leave a group chat

1. Open the group and go to Chat info.
2. Tap Leave group.
3. Confirm — you'll stop receiving messages from this group.

A one-to-one chat has no "leave"; instead you can Delete it from your chat list, which removes the chat and its messages from your device.
